Bio

Francisco Garrido is a guitarist, composer and producer based in Amsterdam. Francisco grew up in Venezuela and started making music when he was 12 years old being mainly focused on composing in the rock genre. While living in Venezuela he performed alongside award winning classical flutist Luis Julio Toro. At 17 he got the opportunity to go to the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA. There he started focusing on jazz music, in both composition and performance, while playing with many projects in many different genres in the Boston music scene.

In 2017 he moved to France and became active in the French music scene as a sidemen for many projects and his own “The Rain Dance Collective”. Francisco has also recorded with award winning pianist Pierre Alain Goualch . During his stay there Francisco developed a really personal approach to composing and playing guitar as a result of many hours of practicing. Francisco graduated from the Conservatoire Regional du Grand Nancy getting unanimity and congratulations from the jury in his final exam, and has been awarded the Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation scholarship 6 years in a row. In 2020 Francisco moved to Amsterdam and now is active in the Dutch music scene playing with many up and coming projects such as "Dodo Bird" and "Perpetual Bike Crash"
